Window Glass Repair & Replacement — South Lake Tahoe & the CA Shore
Broken pane? Cracked glass? We replace the glass in your existing frames — homes and businesses across the California side of the lake.
Fix the glass, not the whole window
A rock from the snowblower, a limb in a windstorm, a slammed door — glass breaks up here in ways the flatlands never see. The good news: when the frame is sound, you rarely need a whole new window. We replace the pane itself — measured precisely, cut or ordered to spec, installed clean — usually for a fraction of full window replacement.
What’s included
- Broken & cracked pane replacement
- Single-pane cabin glass
- Dual-pane (IGU) glass in existing frames
- Tempered safety glass where code requires
- Storm-damage documentation for insurance
- Board-up first if you need it today
Built for the lake
Glass work at the lake starts with respect for the conditions: panes crack in cold snaps, snow shed finds low windows, and any sealed unit we order is built for 6,200+ feet so it isn’t fighting its own seal from day one. That’s the quiet difference between glass from a lake shop and glass trucked up from the valley.

How it works
From Photo to Clear Glass — With Real Timelines
1 Send photos or call
Two or three photos and rough width × height through the form — or just call the shop. Requests in by early afternoon usually get a ballpark the same business day.
2 We measure it right
Free estimate confirmed with our own tape — at your place, or bring small pieces to the storefront. The number you approve is the number on the invoice — changes get re-quoted first.
3 Glass built for the lake
Fabricated to spec — altitude-built sealed units, tempered where code requires. Typical fabrication: about a week; sealed units and enclosures one to two.
4 Installed clean
Most installs are a single morning. We test everything with you, sweep up to the last sliver, and email photos and the invoice if you’re out of town.

☎ (530) 544-5884Window Glass Repair & Replacement — FAQs
Can you replace just the glass without replacing the window?
Usually yes. If the frame and sash are sound, we replace the pane or the sealed unit in place — typically far cheaper than a new window. If the frame's rotten or failing, we'll tell you straight and quote both paths.
Does homeowners insurance cover a broken window?
Sudden events — storms, falling branches, vandalism, break-ins — are usually covered minus your deductible. Gradual failure (like foggy seals) is not. We provide itemized documentation your adjuster will actually accept.
How fast can you fix a broken window?
Call by early afternoon and we can usually board it up or temporarily glaze it the same business day. The permanent glass depends on the unit: stock sizes fast, custom or altitude-built units typically one to two weeks.
