Two or three photos and rough width × height through the form — or just call the shop. Requests in by early afternoon usually get a ballpark the same business day.
2 We measure it right
Free estimate confirmed with our own tape — at your place, or bring small pieces to the storefront. The number you approve is the number on the invoice — changes get re-quoted first.
3 Glass built for the lake
Fabricated to spec — altitude-built sealed units, tempered where code requires. Typical fabrication: about a week; sealed units and enclosures one to two.
4 Installed clean
Most installs are a single morning. We test everything with you, sweep up to the last sliver, and email photos and the invoice if you’re out of town.

What area does Lake Tahoe Glass serve?
The California side of the lake — South Lake Tahoe (home base), Meyers and Christmas Valley, the West Shore (Tahoma, Homewood), and the CA North Shore from Tahoe City through Kings Beach, right up to the stateline. We’re California-licensed, so Nevada-side addresses (Stateline, Zephyr Cove, Incline Village, Crystal Bay) need a Nevada-licensed glazier — and we don’t serve Truckee.
Do you come out, or do I bring the glass to you?
Both, whichever fits the job. Windows, showers, railings, sliders and storefronts: we come to you anywhere on the CA shore. Table tops, shelves, small mirrors and glass cut to size: bring measurements (or the piece) to the storefront at 2621 Lake Tahoe Blvd, Mon–Fri 9–5.
Can you give me an estimate from photos?
Usually, yes — that’s the fastest path. Send two or three photos with rough width and height through the estimate form; requests in by early afternoon usually get a ballpark the same business day. Final numbers come from our own measure — and anything that changes after it gets your OK first, never a surprise on the invoice.
My dual-pane windows are foggy — do I need whole new windows?
Usually not. Fog between panes means the sealed unit failed; if your frames are sound we replace just the glass unit — typically a fraction of full window replacement — with units built for Tahoe’s altitude so the fog doesn’t come back early.
What does ‘Andersen PREMIER Certified Contractor’ mean?
It means Andersen has vetted us and factory-trained our installation crew — and that our Andersen installs carry Andersen’s exclusive two-year limited installation warranty on top of the product warranties. For full window replacement, it puts a manufacturer behind the install, not just the window.
Are you open weekends or after hours for emergencies?
Our hours are Monday–Friday, 9 to 5, and we’re honest about it. Within them, broken-glass board-ups get priority — call by early afternoon and we can usually secure the opening the same business day. After hours, tape cardboard over the opening, photograph everything for insurance, and send photos through the form; you’re first in line at 9am.
