Glass Railings & Wind Walls — South Lake Tahoe & the CA Shore
Frameless glass deck railings and wind walls — engineered for Sierra weather, built to disappear in front of the view.
The view is the point — the glass just holds the wind
Nobody buys a lake view to look at pickets. Frameless glass railings and wind walls give you the panorama with real protection from the wind coming off the water — engineered with laminated safety glass to code, anchored for snow country. It's some of the most demanding work in glazing, and it's the work we're proudest of: our portfolio includes fully curved frameless wind walls on a Tahoe lakefront estate.
What’s included

Built for the lake
Railing glass at the lake is engineering-adjacent work: laminated panels to code, anchoring specified for Sierra wind and snow-shed loads, and edgework that survives freeze-thaw. Our portfolio includes curved frameless wind walls on a Tahoe lakefront estate — the hardest version of the craft.

How it works
From Photo to Clear Glass — With Real Timelines
1 Send photos or call
Two or three photos and rough width × height through the form — or just call the shop. Requests in by early afternoon usually get a ballpark the same business day.
2 We measure it right
Free estimate confirmed with our own tape — at your place, or bring small pieces to the storefront. The number you approve is the number on the invoice — changes get re-quoted first.
3 Glass built for the lake
Fabricated to spec — altitude-built sealed units, tempered where code requires. Typical fabrication: about a week; sealed units and enclosures one to two.
4 Installed clean
Most installs are a single morning. We test everything with you, sweep up to the last sliver, and email photos and the invoice if you’re out of town.

☎ (530) 544-5884Glass Railings & Wind Walls — FAQs
Is a glass railing safe with snow and wind?
Yes, when engineered right: railing code requires laminated safety glass, and we spec anchoring and thickness for Sierra wind and snow loads. This is precision work — exactly why it's not a handyman job.
Will the glass block my view?
That's the whole point of frameless: no top-heavy frames, minimal hardware, glass so clear the railing effectively disappears. On the lake side of a deck, it's the difference between a view and a fence.
Can you do curved glass?
Yes — curved and bent panels are specialty work we've delivered on a Tahoe lakefront estate project, including fully curved frameless wind walls. It's rare capability, and we're glad to show you examples.
